Who We Are
At Richard S. Burns & Company Inc., we are constantly seeking to better the environment through recycling, and repurposing reusable materials. Our company was founded in the 1960s as a one-man operation and has grown into a thirteen-acre, fully functional facility where we handle over 1,500 tons of waste and materials daily.
We are passionate about what we do because not only does recycling/repurposing materials support the environment, but it also preserves natural resources and energy, prevents further build-up in landfills, and promotes sustainability and a “reduce, reuse, recycle” lifestyle.
We collect the following materials:
- Specific waste
- Non-ferrous metals
- Wood
- Iron
- Brick
- Cobbles
- Stone
- Cardboard
- Plastics
- Glass
- Tile
- Porcelain
Our Dumpster Service
Our dumpster service is extremely helpful and makes it easy for you to keep your job site clean and safe. Our dumpsters come in a variety of sizes including 10, 20, and 30 cubic yards. We also have smaller dumpsters available on dollies for job sites with limited space, where a dumpster may not be the best option. There are a lot of reasons why dumpsters are a great option for your job site. Here are just a few of the benefits:
- Makes things more convenient. You can either bring the dumpster back to our facility or we can deliver them directly to your job site. To make it even easier on you, we can do a custom-fit for you, so that a dumpster is tailored specifically to your needs.
- Keeps your job site safe. Having dumpsters at your site ensures that any potentially hazardous materials are safely disposed of and does not put you or your team at risk. Plus, if there are any loose materials lying around, it could also pose a risk to the tires of any vehicles on-site and slow down your productivity.
- Supports the environment. Dumpsters prevent you from making unnecessary trips back and forth to dispose of waste, which in turn will prevent more gasoline use. Dumpsters help to reduce your carbon footprint. Additionally, according to the EPA,
- Helps dispose of waste properly. By utilizing dumpsters, potentially hazardous materials are able to be properly stored instead of seeping into the ground and possibly damaging surrounding nature and plant life.
