Aurora Catering was delighted to work two weeks in a row at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara for two spectacular parties.
The Triton offers a modern glass walled gallery for rent or the victorian Jameson Brown house nestled among the trees. These two parties were both in the modern gallery. The galleries exhibits change frequently and this particular exhibit was beautiful fabric draped against the windows.
At the first party, 120 guests gathered at the celebration of a wedding couple who married in Philadelphia and then hosted a West Coast party for their family and friends. Rich with Ethiopian customs and costumes, the party was a huge success with dancing well into the night after a wonderful buffet dinner.
Starting with fabulous cheeses, veggie & fruit platters, served with wine on the lawn, guests then transitioned to the main gallery for a buffet dinner. Roasted salmon in miso, ginger & garlic, a carving station with filet mignon and horseradish sour cream, garden salad, roasted red potatoes with black olives, herbs & garlic & grilled seasonal veggies were enjoyed before the guests then moved into the octagon room for dancing. The hosts called Aurora early Sunday morning to say how happy they and all of their guests were – that Aurora was now considered part of their family!
Aurora Catering takes care of everything from ordering the necessary linens, glassware, china, setting up the rental delivery, setting up the furniture, setting the tables, serving, clearing, cleaning up and striking the furniture, making sure the client and venue are happy with the service provided.
A week later we were thrilled to cater a joint 50th birthday party for a married couple. The party was planned last minute so Aurora Catering stepped in to handle the menu planning & rental order.
Guests arrived at 6:00 to enjoy specialty cocktails wine, beer, champagne and chef-made fruit flavor infusions in sparkling water.
As guests trickled in, servers passed appetizers while guests enjoyed an artisan cheese board while they mingled and chatted, had photos taken at a photo booth and played lawn games on a beautiful summer afternoon. Then enjoying an interactive appetizer station with custom Asian noodles, as well as a taco bar, the guests celebrated the birthdays of their dear friends, finishing with dancing and a dessert & take away candy bar.
Chef Marty was surprised and delighted to find one of his former high school classmates among the guests. We will be catering her graduation party in September, celebrating her recently earned doctorate degree.
