2020 has been a year to remember, due to a global pandemic schools and businesses were forced to close their doors to students, customers, guests and employees at the beginning of the year. There were a variety of changes in our lives that we all had to learn to adjust to such as distanced learning for schools, social distancing in person and many more. Reopening schools, restaurants, shops and many more businesses has come with new challenges and requirements we are all not use to, like limiting capacity and creating outdoor dinning spaces. With these new requirements being new to us all, we tend to often forget about them. Schools are very important in our communities and although many of us are thrilled to have in person learning start again there are some worries about doing so safely. By utilizing signage reopening safely for students and staff members is possible.
Signs can be used in many ways to help display temporary and long term friendly reminders to keep a safe distance of 6′ apart, they can inform about symptoms to watch out for as well as requirements and measures that have to be made in order to enter the premises. Not long ago we had the opportunity to help put together a sign package for a school that was planning on reopening fairly quickly. This sign package included a variety of different sign sizes and options but what they had in common was the color combinations.
