One of the necessary sign needs of any shopping center is one or several monument signs located close to the entrances that display the names of all the shops located in the center. These signs are crucial to signaling to consumers driving by where they need to go to get to a particular store. Monument signs are also wonderful little advertisements to entice shoppers into the center to find out more about a certain store that caught their eye.
Shopping center monument signs are most often illuminated because many stores are open after dark. They are typically double sided to cover both directions of traffic and they have multiple panels to display the different tenants. 
A new shopping center that came to Modesto was Village West located off the busy intersection of Briggsmore and McHenry Avenues. The Village West developers contacted City Signs about designing and building a monument sign for their McHenry Avenue entrance.
The monument sign that we designed, produced and installed for Village West is a beautiful double sided illuminated sign with seven tenant panels. The sign was built on a concrete base to provide higher elevation for better visibility. The main tenant panel was developed for the large Rite Aid retailer that is the foundation of the new center. Each of the tenant panels are aluminum faces that are router cut and backed with acrylic. One of the benefits of using a local sign company is the ease of adding in tenant panels as the store facilities are rented.
