Project: Router cut dibond panel with digital graphics installed on warehouse
One of the common tools in the sign industry is a router cutter. A router cutter can be used to cut everything from PVC to acrylic into unique shapes and designs. Router cutting is often used to create lettering such as acrylic formed cut outs also known as FCO’s which are typically smaller in scale. However aluminum and aluminum composite material such as dibond can also be router cut and pieced to together to form large scale logos. An example of this type of router cutting would be a project we designed and installed for Blue Diamond Growers in Salida, CA.
The nut company has several warehouses at their Salida location that hold millions of pounds of almonds throughout the year and they are located on prime freeway frontage. We designed a dibond sign that was router cut into the shape of the Blue Diamond logo and printed digital graphics were applied to the face. The sign was router cut in two different pieces to accommodate the size and then was installed together on the face of the warehouse.
Router cut aluminum or dibond signs are a great options for companies with large warehouses or packing plants that would like to advertise their business with size appropriate signs but would like to remain cost effective.
