Customer: Maurices
Location: Manteca, California
Project: LED Illuminated Pan Channel Letter Sets
One of the most common types of illuminated signs are channel letters. Channel letters are individually mounted and illuminated. They are about 5″ in depth and have acrylic faces with aluminum trim caps. The faces can be made of colored acrylic which often comes in standard colors or if a custom color is needed printed vinyl can be laid on top of white acrylic to achieve the desired hue. Channel letters used to be illuminated with neon but now sign manufactures predominantly use LED which is more durable, energy efficient and cost effective.
City Signs had the opportunity to install a simple and classic channel letter in Manteca, California for a clothing store opening up called Maurices. The store needed two letter sets, one for the front entrance and one for the backside of the store which faced a busy street. Illuminated with LEDs, these channel letters had simple white acrylic faces with dark trim caps and returns. The letters were mounted with stand offs so they are apart from the brick surface instead of being flush mounted. The large lettering and simple coloring makes these sign easy to read during both day and night and gives this store front a professional and polished look.
