Project: New directories for 4 campus buildings
A common sign found around town can be a directory sign. Most often used in complexes with multiple buildings or tenants to direct people to the right location. Well designed directories with clear instructions to help people find their way are a must to avoid frustration and confusion for clients and businesses alike. 
Directories also must be kept up to date with the removal of departing businesses or information about newly moved in companies. City Signs has designed and produced many directory signs and we have developed a custom format that we believe meets all the important criteria.
We had a chance to produce one of our unique directories for a local office complex that has 4 buildings with multiple tenants that was recently completely renovated. Campus Commons in Modesto, CA has over 50 different tenants in 4 office buildings at their Carpenter Road complex. With the newly remodeled buildings, they were also looking to update their directory signage. City Signs created 8 directory signs to be placed strategically around the campus. Each directory is a sign frame system with a few twists.
The signs have a steel back that has been painted white and a clear acrylic face that was slid into the frame portion. Vinyl maps and office numbers are applied directly to the steel back. The names of each tenant are applied to a magnetic strip that sticks to the steel back of the sign frame. Some of the frames are mounted to the wall while others were mounted to posts so they could be freestanding. The design of the directory is simple and easy to read with clear indicators of where the person is located. 
The beauty of the magnetic strips is that they are easily changed and removed.
A simple email to City Signs with any changes or new magnets needed and within a few days we can install the changes and everything is again up to date.
