Project: Hand Painted School Signs Get A Makeover
Do you have a hand painted sign on your school campus that is looking a little tired and rough around the edges? Interested in giving your school sign a makeover so it is bright and fresh again? At City Signs we not only offer new hand painted signs, we also can refurbish and renovate an existing painted sign. A local Central Valley high school, Grace M. Davis had the name of their school mascot painted on a short wall at the center of their campus lunch break area many years ago and the sign was starting to fall apart. Concrete was cracking, paint was chipping off and the color was dull and faded.
City Signs was able to come in and renovate the Spartans sign so it was bright and beautiful again. Fresh white paint was applied to create a background. A pounce pattern was set up and everything received a new coat of paint, giving the lunch break area a crisp sparkle.
However, not all painted signs need or have to start with a clean background. Roosevelt Junior High School and Fred C. Beyer High School both had existing hand painted signs that were redone without using a fresh background. Roosevelt’s painted sign was dulled and parts of the image were missing. Paint was mixed on site to match the colors of the existing logo and each section was carefully refurbished to its original lustre. Beyer’s Patriot was also repainted using the existing sign as the pattern and fresh color was applied to all needed areas.
