One of the cornerstone services provided by Experience Signs is Sign Management. Sign Management focuses on the effectiveness of the client's signs from the design to post installation. After signs are installed, they are included in a database that facilitates periodic inspection and inspection after significant weather events. Recently, one such weather event occurred where thunderstorms brought excessive rain and very high wind. Because of the high winds, Experience Signs drove by the installed signs in the affected areas in case of any damage. The Image to the left illustrates the condition a For Sale Banner was in after the severe weather. The wind was high enough to dislodge the banner from it's mounting hardware. Directly as a result of the comprehensive post installation process, our client, Chapman Commercial Real Estate benefited from having very little downtime of the sign. The bottom image shows the condition of the banner after the team fixed the condition. Fortunately, this weather event only had an adverse affect on the banner. All of the other installed signs were not damaged. The Sign Management program has three important components: robust structural design and installation, periodic and deliberate inspection, and re-usability. First, the sign frames used are made of steel making them resistant to all but the highest winds. Second, sleeves that hold the frames are anchored in the ground with cement. The sleeves allow easy removal of the entire sign/frame assembly when the sign is no longer needed. The Assembly can then be warehoused or immediately deployed depending on the client requirements. Should any damage occur to the sign/frame assembly during deployment, the sleeves allow an immediate remove and replace with a new assembly. The biggest benefit of the custom Sign Management approach is the true life cycle costs of the clients sign program are reduced and the sign effectiveness while in use is increased.
