Louisville, KY – Improving Your Business Procedures | Business Coaching News

Posted in: Videos

Change in any environment is difficult, but in the business world so many companies avoid change at all costs because they feel it will disrupt their operations and set them back a great deal.

While the goal to avoid difficulty has validity in some cases, in the business world if your company is stagnant or failing then a change should be made, and the best companies are constantly seeking ways to make their operation run at a more efficient, smoother rate.

The process of optimizing your company’s operations can be difficult, but when you enlist the help of an expert business coach you can make an improvement which makes your employee’s jobs easier, uses less money or resources, drives more sales and/or reduces your liability. We can all agree these are positive developments for a business, so the benefits of a change outweigh the pain as long as you have someone to ensure the changes are going to have a positive impact.

As a business coach in the Louisville, Kentucky area, I help craft new policies and procedures for companies I work with and then implement them in the organizations I partner with. Implementation is a painful process in many instances, whether it’s changing the way a job has been done for years, adding a new software or piece of equipment or any other large change, it takes a steady hand and delicate instruction to ensure the process has the intended impact.

When you’re considering a change in the way your company operates, it’s important to remember how the change will advance your company’s goals and take it one day at a time. Like I said before, change is never easy, but in the business world it can be less painful when approached with the right mindset.

So many clients want to make a change and then look for ways to immediately make the new solution even better, but change is a slow process and should be handled with care. Master your new solution and then move to improve it in time, rather than doing it all at once. Take your first steps and stick to the new way, and in time you can perfect the new process to perfectly match your company’s needs.

Check out the excerpt below from a recent coaching session where we discuss making business improvements, and if you feel a business coach can help your company succeed then contact me today and let’s get started.

90% of the time you keep doing the same thing, but you’re not necessarily improving that thing to make it more effective. The reason I talk about this is not like “Ugh, that’s a depressing state of reality,” it’s actually to say, when I think of it is a great piece of understanding, because if you understand that, then you can say “I need to do this one step at a time, I just need to get started.” Don’t think about step two until you actually start, and probably most importantly, if you start, just work on kind of keep going, don’t try to improve it too early. Just get used to saying “this is the thing we do now.”
