John is a business leader who contacted me because he was struggling in his new role. He had been promoted from a technical role to management, which was a major vote of confidence from his managers. But he wasn’t sure how to lead his team effectively and didn’t know how to navigate his new responsibilities. He also felt unqualified and didn’t know where to start. He was also used to being the go-to guy for his team, and now he was feeling disempowered and unmotivated in his new role.
Personalized Business Coaching Approach
I started by chatting with John to get to know him better and understand his unique challenges. I then administered a DISC assessment, which is an assessment that measures your strengths in four different areas: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness. Based on John’s results, we were able to identify the root of his issues and develop a plan to help him overcome them. As a leading business coach, I knew a personalized plan was needed to restore John’s confidence.
