We received a call from a full-service insurance company that was looking for a way to promote its life insurance offering, in addition to the auto, home, and commercial products that it sells.  Life insurance is one of the more difficult products to bring up, because it only becomes useful in the worst of situations, and people are uncomfortable talking about it.  During the conversation, I mentioned that 303 Sign Company can make and install floor graphics, and that floor graphics are a great and unconventional way to grab someone's attention. At that point, the light bulb came on, and a great way to bring up the topic of life insurance was born. The photo on the left shows the floor graphic with the slogan, "Life insurance is a Love product"  As people walk into the office they look down and see a large (4 foot) heart on the floor and ask about it. It creates the perfect opportunity to discuss life insurance, and sets the tone for a warm conversation. In the photo on the right, you can see where visitors to the office will walk over the floor graphic on their way to the offices in the back. People are almost compelled to not only read the words, but to comment on it.  It is not often that you are reading text on the floor, and when it comes in the shape of a heart, it feels like a safe topic.  The client mentioned how much easier it is to talk about, now that the placed on the floor. In order to help start the conversation about life insurance, we used a vinyl film with an adhesive designed specifically for tile and low shag carpet floors.  We used an overlaminate, cut to an extra 3/4" around the edge to protect the graphics from the wear and tear of foot traffic. The extra overlaminate also gives the graphic more durability around the edges for a longer life span.  These types of applications are typically good for 6 months to a year, depending on the level of traffic.
