I feel lucky to live in sunny Southern California where it seems like the weather is always great. But even here in San Clemente, CA in Orange County it rains sometimes.
In the image above you can see one of the building signs that we recently made for ICU Medical in San Clemente. ICU Medical connects patients and caregivers through safe, life-saving, life-enhancing medical devices. They provide clinicians around the world with innovative and cost-effective patient care solutions for unmet clinical needs.
Because of the location of their signs (the other one can be seen in the image below) we needed to use a 45' boom lift to get this job completed. And while it rarely rains in Southern California, it seemed to show up in full force as soon as we were ready for installation. It doesn't always go smoothly when installing outdoor signage, and in this case we were rained out three times! Luckily the weather shifted to sunny and 85 degrees and everything went smoothly after that.
We were contacted by ICU Medical to upgrade their old signs, and part of that process was designing a new logo. We removed three signs and put up new three signs on two different buildings. The letters are made out of acrylic laminate built on 3" foam that was painted white and then finished with their custom blue enamel.
