It’s a Wrap --- now get moving You’ve wrapped your vehicle.  It looks incredible, dazzling, mind-boggling, even!  But is that enough?  Now that you’ve taken the plunge, what should you be doing to maximize the effectiveness of this exciting new tool? Well, first off, treat your vehicle wraps as you would any other strategic marketing tool in which your business has invested.  Just as you would strive to bring more visitors to your website or add more contacts to your e-mail marketing list, you should also work to ensure that your newly wrapped vehicle is seen by as many potential customers as possible, as often as possible.  In other words, it’s not just exposure that’s important, it’s also repetition.  If you are going to invest in wrapping your vehicle, you are not going maximize the return on your investment if you simply use it during the day as you go about your business and park it in a (God forbid!) garage at mind.  So here are some simple suggestions:

1. Park your car strategically – usually this is NOT close to the door. Wherever you go, no matter how long you’re there, be sure to park your wrapped vehicle where the most passers-by will see it – near the road, at a corner, right by an exit, wherever other drivers will be stopped a traffic light.
2. Don’t Ever Let the Vehicle Stop Working – This vehicle should be working round the clock. If for some reason no one is going to be driving the vehicle for a while (vacation, holiday, big deadline), be sure you park it in a HIGH TRAFFIC AREA during this time for maximum exposure.  Even if the location you choose is blocks from your home or business, as long it is high visibility (and legal!), it’s a better location than the lot behind your plant, a parking structure, or your own garage or driveway!
3. Road Trips! -- Make sure the vehicle is on the road as often as possible.  This is the only car or truck anyone in the office should be driving to run errands, pick up sandwiches, or buy supplies. It should go without saying that at any company event, such as a picnic or party, the vehicle should be an honored guest, parked right in the middle of the action.

Community Involvement -- Sign up for every parade in your community and surrounding ones.  Have team members hang from the windows or march alongside and throw candy, coupons, or small samples into the crowd.  Park at carnivals, fun fairs, and school events and participate in any way you can. Your wrapped vehicle is a mobile billboard, but it’s so much more than that.  It’s an opportunity for interactive marketing and to spread goodwill and community awareness, to raise visibility and enhance your public profile.  Take advantage of the possibilities at every turn!
