Wilshire Baptist Church was founded in 1951. Over the decades, the faith community reached out to neighbors and those from around the area in need of a church home. Not surprisingly, there has been an influx of new members and attendees in recent years. To help these individuals connect with the past of the church, the associate pastor asked us to put together a custom timeline display in Dallas, TX.
Telling the History of a Church
Understanding where the church came from, who helped it to grow, and who sacrificed time and resources to protect it is an important part of what shaped the congregation. We used old images that congregants had to create graphics printed on acrylic panels that our technicians suspended with airplane cables. Next, we framed these displays and placed them along the wall of a hallway. To help visitors understand what they are looking at, we created plaques with lettering that informs and educates.
