We were recently contacted about an automated shade system for a newly built 5 story office building in the River Oaks area. They were looking for an easy solution to provide privacy, sunlight reduction and decrease glare. The 1% openness shade was a perfect selection for the 5 story office building that has all exposures, along with the super quiet motor that raises the shades.
The picture above was taken from inside the new Houston office building, you can see the difference their new automated shade system makes when in use. You may also noticed that although shades are dark, you can still see the view from inside while blocking out harmful UV rays and heat. Automated shade systems provide an on-demand solution, unlike window films which are constantly in effect.
We were very excited to start working on the automated commercial shades for the new River Oaks office building. The building has beautiful custom architectural windows which can sometimes make projects a bit more difficult, but we had it covered. We ended up installing the shade systems in their conference rooms and executive offices. Having the automated shade systems in conference rooms allows for you to adjust the amount of sunlight you want to block out during important meetings, reducing glare and providing a more comfortable temperature in the room.
As with any window project, we start by getting accurate measurements of any windows which will be affected by the automated window shades. Once the measurements are taken, fabrication of the automated shades begin. The only thing left after that is installation and testing to make sure everything works properly. Once we are finished you can instantly benefit from the new system.
