SignWorks is proud to be the most recent addition to the Trader Joe’s vendor family and recently fulfilled an order for composting posters for 18 of their New Jersey stores. Each store has now received two 18” X 24” laminated posters, and although this order was completed outside of the retail store automated ordering system, we are happy to report that the order was fulfilled, based on their in-house art approval in just a matter of days. The work to get SignWorks into their automated system is finally complete and we have pending orders for multiple vinyl decals for two other stores! We are grateful for the opportunity to service a national client.
Trader Joe’s has certainly delivered on its brand integrity. They are extremely popular where I live and I, like many of you, shop there all the time. Their products tend to be well priced and I love the broad selection of fruits, vegetables, breads, cheeses, wines and more. They were founded in 1958 when Joe Coulombe took over a small chain of convenience stores around the LA area and called them Pronto Markets. Within ten years it was clear that the convenience store formula needed tweaking and Joe opened the first Trader Joe’s store in 1967 in Pasadena, CA. After he took note of the changing demographics he decided to leverage his G. I. Bill benefits to garner a better education and he decided to deliver something different. The nautical theme he envisioned has paid off and to this day team members consider themselves “traders on the culinary seas” and are known for their bright, tropical-patterned shirts and for generally being nice, helpful, and well informed.
