Hayward, CA – Progress Update, Prevost Facility Signs

BY: CHERYL ARCHER, SignWorks Inc.

SignWorks has to admit that we were thrilled when Prevost contacted us and said they were moving into a facility in Hayward and would need branded aluminum logo signs throughout the facility.  Once we were clear on what was required our design staff go to work creating submittal drawings for both the exterior and interior signs, a total of 63  aluminum signs (in various sizes) and one cut vinyl sign that would mount to the entry glass door. Although we started the submittals process months ago, the anticipated move in date of late August gave us some time.

We are in the early fabrication stage and in the process of integrating the client’s edits to the shop drawings, ordering the .040 and 0.63 aluminum sheeting material and having it cut to size.  We have ordered .040 brushed aluminum for the single sided signs from a local supplier and are having the sign blanks cut to size.  Some of the larger sign blanks, measuring 36” X 32.5” (11 in all) are being fabricated by Halls Signs.  Three of these larger signs are being mounted between two galvanized posts, as shown here, so a thicker gauge of aluminum is required.  The remaining eight, though double sided, are being mounted to chain link fences so the lighter gauge material is more appropriate.

Prevost has been in business for 95 years and had its beginnings in rural Quebec, Canada.  The company=y is grounded in ingenuity, revolutionary ideas and passion based on the deeply anchored beliefs of their founder Eugene Prevost!  In 1924 the company founder crested a wooden box body that would later revolutionize the travel industry and set standards for Motor coach transportation as we have come to know it.  The company strives to continue the standard of excellence and to improve design metrics as the industry and technology continues to evolve.

SignWorks has worked with businesses ranging in size from very small to very large and the thing that resonates with all of them is establishing processes and procedures that allows the project to flow easily from inception to execution! If you have a sign project that is in need of a sign company that is experienced in project management and process flow, just give us a call at (510) 357-2000.  We’re happy to lend our expertise and will meet your needs for professional designed, fabricated and installed signage at a fair price.   Please visit our website to read recent blog posts, learn more about us, and view photographs of recent projects.  We are happy to connect with you and be of service while providing high quality products and services that fit your budget!
