SignWorks is pleased to report that our return trip to the Army Reserve Training facility in Dublin went well. We were able to install the 8” tall (I” thick) bronze dimensional building address letters because the client had finally decided on a location. While we were there working on behalf of Lighted Signs Direct (LDSI) a signage vendor and GSA certificate holder, we also repaired a broken acrylic sign holder that had been shipped to us. Since Lighted Signs Direct is based in Virginia it was far more expeditious to find a local sign company to do the installation work for them. Sending a crew from Virginia would have been pricey!
We found working with LDSI to be very easy. The company made sure to supply drawings, contact information, and followed up with us periodically to make sure things were still on track. Like SignWorks, their company is also a woman owned small business, however, they are even more focused on government clients than we are. LSDI supplies custom identity and environmental signage solutions for government and commercial customers. They will often partner with others to provide signage and services to Federal Agencies. The company is both bonded and insured.
LSDI was working alongside David Boland, Inc., a general contractor, with 40 years of experience in building facilities for America’s military and civil servants, as well as the infrastructure that supports and protects our country’s citizens. The company designs and builds world class facilities that help to train and equip America’s military. Their projects include many mission critical aspects which are often on accelerated schedules. The work spans many sectors including aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, healthcare and education and the company has also worked with a variety of municipalities.
