SignWorks has been working alongside staff at the Union City Townhouse Association to develop property restriction signs for the property. Board approval for the signs was obtained after a review of the art file and we moved forward in fabricating eighteen 12” X 18” signs made with .063 aluminum with Engineering Grade Reflective vinyl. The sign blanks were ordered with a black border and we dropped in the black cut vinyl text that had been approved. These signs will be displayed at various locations throughout the property and are reminiscent of similar signs used by property managers and owners to convey the rules, parking and otherwise, that are pertinent to the property.
Reflective signs are commonly used because of their enhanced visibility at night. The font selected also aids in ensuring the text is legible and easy to read. We have also been tasked with creating playground signs in red that articulate the differing areas for play based on specific ages. These were only recently approved and have only just now moved forward to production.
Like most homeowner associations the primary purpose is to provide maintenance and protection of the residence lots and common areas. The preservation of the property’s attractiveness and value, as well as maintaining architectural control, be it landscaping, structures or facilities, is of primary importance. Membership is automatic for all owners and the rules are as set forth in the Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs) as recorded with the County of Alameda.
