SignWorks is happy to report that we completed the installation of the interior signs for LDSI a signage vendor and GSA certificate holder. Our client is working with a general contractor, David Boland, Inc., on a renovation project at the Army Reserve Center in Dublin. The project included an exterior plaque and dimensional lettering that we had installed previously. Our return trip was focused on the remaining interior signs which included evacuation maps and a large interior metal plaque, all of which was supplied by others. We were needed because a local sign company installing the signs would be far less expensive that sending out a crew from Virginia. We were happy to help which involved reviewing the plans, drawings and sign schedule to ensure we knew what was needed.
The government supplied 30” circular bronze and aluminum plaque was extremely heavy so we confirmed that there was concrete behind the drywall in the location where it was being mounted. We wanted to be sure it could be mounted safely and without risk of it falling from the wall. The remaining signs included ADA (Americans with Disabilities) restroom signs, room identification, a directory and evacuation map signs. As you can see from the pictures the signs are visually appealing, legible and installed using a level to ensure that they are properly mounted.
Working with LDSI was easy. Our sign company partner made sure to supply drawings, contact information, and followed up periodically to ensure things were happening and on track. Like SignWorks, the company is a woman owned small business, however, they are focused more on government than we are. They supply custom identity and environmental signage solutions for government and commercial clients. Also, they will often partner with others to provide visual communications and services to Federal Agencies. The company is fully bonded and insured.
