We were really surprised to get a phone call from Serpico Landscaping so soon after installing their exterior DiBond building sign.  The company had decided to rebrand making it necessary to redo the exterior sign we had made for them several months earlier.  It would have been nice to simply update the graphics in place, but since the sign sits about 20 feet off the ground, that was not the most efficient approach.  The 8ft. wide by approximately 7 ft. tall sign was too big to manipulate in the field.  Consequently, we made a replacement sign using the new logo and lettering.

We ordered a scissor lift and sent two technicians to remove the old sign and replace it with the new one.  We used DiBond again, which consists of thin aluminum sheeting material with a corrugated plastic core.  The resulting aluminum composite stands up well to the external elements and is both light weight and durable.  Since we had done a site survey previously and already had the exact measurements, the proofing process was more simplified.

We also, given the introduction of new colors, had to special order the vinyl to ensure the integrity of the color palette selected by our client.  Preserving brand identity is a crucial part of the design process were our designer must make sure that the colors, font and placement details are all accurate and properly reflected in the proof and finished sign project!  It’s also important that the sign is eye catching and legible from a distance.  Our intent is the maximize visibility.
