We were pleased when one of the owners of Serpico Landscaping approached us. They were in need of an exterior building sign to display the name and logo branding of their landscaping concern. Initially they were thinking of filling the entire space above the entry but during the design phase settled on a smaller version that was 8ft. wide and a little over 7 ft. tall.
Because this would be an exterior grade sign we opted to use DiBond, an aluminum composite which holds up well to the elements. It is comprised of thin aluminum sheeting with a corrugate plastic core. Our designer worked with the client and performed a site visit to make sure that the measurements and placement of the sign were correct and to confirm the equipment needs. In this case, the height above ground where the sign was being placed required a scissor lift.
Although we did not design the Serpico logo we wanted to be sure that it was legible and eye catching so we scaled the sign accordingly. We also wanted to ensure that the colors were true to their corporate branding standards and produced in a way that would maximize visible. Brand identity is extremely important to our customers so part of our job is to make sure that we implement the brand identity by matching the colors, font and placement details on all of their sign projects.
