SignWorks continues to work on the multi-phased project at 75 Hawthorne with Turner Construction. We have been working diligently on the stairwell graphics which were specified as a specialty 3M Envision vinyl which is a non PVC based eco-friendly vinyl product used for the stairwell walls and for the bicycle storage area. We have also been using a 3M Opaque vinyl for the elevator lobby and no smoking wall and window signs. At present all of the print vinyl graphics are complete and awaiting delivery for installation by a union installation contractor. Work will continue on the remaining phase 5 and 6 ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) signage until complete and we will update you on our progress which includes evacuation maps, tenant identification, directories, and the like. We are very pleased with the relationship and the fact that this is our second project with this large contractor. Turner Construction was founded 113 years ago and is a national construction contractor that works internationally on large scale construction projects. With a staff of over 5,200 people they typically work on over 1.500 projects a year. They are a leader in Green Building and LEED technology. We are pleased at they’re efforts to include local, small and specialty contractors in the local markets they serve. In the layout picture you will see examples of the stair core graphics we printed and laminated. The panels are about 8 ft. tall and can be challenging to work with. SignWorks has worked with many local and national construction companies including Turner Construction, Shimmick, Clark Construction, Arntz Builders, and some smaller specialty contractors like Atkinson Construction, A-One Construction and FOCON. We bid and fabricate an assortment of sign types including dimensional signs, ADA signs and evacuation maps. SignWorks welcomes the opportunity to bid on construction projects.
