It’s been almost a year since we completed this project but it shows how fun and interesting interior lobby walls can be. Instead of simply centering the dimensional letters to fill the space on the wall, the client and our designer decided to be creative both with the materials used, and the placement of the letters on the wall. Choosing 12” tall black 3/16” thick flat cut acrylic lettering and their signature oversized yellow dot, the designer injected style and flair by stacking the letters (left justified) and using the free standing wall. Without these elements the lettering could have looked boring and passé!
Dimensional lettering comes in a variety of options with flat cut acrylic thickness ranging from 1/8” to 1”. Other material options include, metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, brass and bronze. Cast metal letters are also available in addition to formed plastic and injection molded letters. A variety of other approaches for interior signs would be metal laminates mounted to foam or to acrylic. And, don’t forget Gemlite or LED lit lettering to take your dimensional letters to the next level!
