When the owner of Simon’s Auto Werks and their neighbors Miller & O’Brien contacted SignWorks the dilemma involved correcting the existing signage from a non functional gas station that had existed at the premises some years before. The signage, a pylon sign mounted several feet in the air, reflected the old gas station sign so it was outdated. The sign needed updating to reflect the two Pacifica based businesses located there. On occasion SignWorks will partner with other sign installers and fabricators as needed when the project requires it. In this case, a Boom Truck with a two man crew was the order of the day!
Both companies provided their logos and we worked with them to obtain accurate sizing so we could reuse the existing sign frames. This would ensure that the new LEXAN sign face we fabricated for them would fit easily into the existing two-sided frame. The large oversized prints were hand laminated because the prints were larger than a standard sized laminator. Once the digital prints were mounted to the sign faces, it was time to have the installers work their magic and get the signs to Pacifica. The installation ultimately required some modification to the existing frames because they were old and bent. Consequently the frames were repaired to accept the new graphics.
