Sometimes it’s time to retire your beloved sign. It may have seen better days and is simply outdated or very badly worn. Your sign is a reflection of you, so if it is obvious to your customers that it should be retired, you will make a better impression if you don’t let the retirement party linger too long. Sometimes, and especially with outdoor signs, mother nature with her sun, rain, hot, cold, wind, snow, etc., has simply made the sign both old and tired looking. Or perhaps the material selection was inappropriate and caused the sign to wear more quickly than it should. Examples include using interior grade foam board in an exterior sign or using acrylic or pvc in a backlit sign instead of more durable Lexan. Or maybe that beautifully painted wooden post and panel sign has grown rickety and/or could use some fresh paint!
