Car Wraps FAQs Q. Why wrap your vehicle? A. If you are wrapping your car for advertising there is NO cheaper or more affective way of advertising your business then a vehicle wrap. Why? Will the wrap affect the paint? A. In most cases the wrap will not affect the paint. However, you should be aware that there is no way of knowing how well the paint has been applied and therefore it, or the clear coat, may come off when the wrap is removed. It is best to understand that there is "always" the chance that the paint may be removed when the wrap is removed. Q. Can I or should I wax the car after it has been wrapped? A. Yes, you can wax the car after a wrap has been installed. You will want to use a wax which will not react with the vinyl. Make sure to check the information on the wax you are using. Q. How do I maintain my wrap? A. In order to increase the life of your wrap and keep it looking "like new" we recommend the following • If possible, when you are not driving your vehicle store it indoors. This will reduce exposure to the sun's UV rays along with dirt and scratches. Also avoid parking under trees, in direct sun or where birds like to hang out. • Wash your vehicle on a regular basis. DO NOT use a car wash with brushes as this may damage your vinyl. You should hand wash your vehicle with mild soap and a sponge. If you choose to use a pressure washer avoid direct "hard" pressure. • Wax your vehicle every few months. Do not use a buffer as this may damage the wrap. Q. How long can I expect my wrap to last? A. The vinyl used in most wraps is a "3-5" year vinyl. However, it depends on the condition of the vehicle, the surface it is applied to along with how well the owner cares for the vehicle. Sun, rain, snow etc... affect the lifespan of any material. Q. How much does a wrap cost? A. It varies depending on the project.
