Pros answer common questions about print services

Our print shop does much more than simple document printing, and we have been helping people in Fremont and across the Bay Area with any type of print needs for several years.

We have the know-how and equipment to take on any print job, including ones which fall under the category of large format printing.

In today’s article, we’ll answer some of our most frequently asked questions about large format printing and give you a better idea of the scope of services we can offer right here in the Bay Area.

What is Large Format Printing?

While you might not be familiar with the term, large format printing has a simple meaning. Any print job with one side larger than 36” is considered large format. In our shop, some of the most popular items which fall under this category include posters, banners, signs, graphics and wraps.

Does Large Format Printing Require Special Equipment?

Due to the scale of these jobs, printers with extra size are required to effectively print on large surfaces. Our shop has many different machines which can handle large format printing, and these machines allow us to print in-house, so your project never leaves our facility.

Can You Print On Different Materials?

Since most of these projects are large in scale, a medium other than traditional print material like paper or cardstock is needed to ensure the final product will hold up over time. Our machines allow for printing on traditional paper for posters and/or small signs, but we can also print on thick vinyl for outdoor banners or signs, adhesive vinyl for graphics and wraps or even metals like aluminum for more heavy duty uses.

Can Prints Take Different Shapes?

Most people think prints have to be made on rectangular mediums, and most posters, banners and signs are, but our machines can print and cut all at the same time. This means items like custom window graphics, vehicle wraps and more are produced easily by our experts in-house.

Is Large Format Printing Expensive?

Many first-time clients are worried their project will be too costly to produce, but are often pleasantly surprised when we provide them with an estimate. While we can offer intricate printing on high-end materials which can be expensive, most of our jobs can be tailored to meet the client’s budget.

Because we own our machines, produce everything in-house and have a team of graphic designers on staff, your product never leaves our shop throughout the process. This saves money on shipping and allows us to get your product in your hands quickly, which ultimately saves time and money.

I Have A Large Format Print Need, What Now?

We would be happy to be your partner for any printing job, and our team has the know-how and equipment to make a great finished product for any client.

Feel free to come by the shop or give us a call today for a consultation so we can learn more about your project and explain how we can help.
