My Pilates journey started because of a cute Pilates instructor coming and introducing it, number one, but this was back in the early to mid two thousands and Tiger Woods was doing Pilates. So some of the great golfers were doing it. I didn’t, at the time I was in my early forties, I didn’t really have any physical limitations or problems that I was looking for anything to solve or that I knew of.

So I just wanted to get better at my game, which, you know, all golfers are in search of the secret potion that you will. So that was the reason I sought it out and or I was open to it when Shannon Willits came and brought it up. So the delivery didn’t hurt, the package of the delivery didn’t hurt at all.

So, uh, that’s kinda why nice. Yeah, Tiger Woods was playing golf, obviously he’s a golfer, but he was doing Pilates at the time and we had a mutual friend who said, Hey, Shannon, you should call Steve over it. You know at the time I was fitness director. I had my first Pilates studio at the racket club that was on the same grounds.

So I went and introduced myself to Steve, head pro at TPC. Do you want to come in and try some Pilates? You know, Tiger Woods is doing it. What it’s fat and it was really fun to have him in, you know, and look at all this wonderful equipment was a little, I think he was a little bit nervous. This is a lifetime athlete here.

So for me, seeing him a little bit nervous, it was like, I pretty much fell in love right then and the rest is history!
