This week, Premier Signs Plus has installed several new Handicapped Parking signs at six parking lot locations within the city of Detroit. This job was commissioned to PSP by a Pontiac MI based construction company.
It was an opportune time to execute this job, as we have recently experienced an unusual bit of milder (above freezing!) weather. The installation required sawing 8″ holes in concrete, then digging deeper into the soil below the concrete, in order to get below the frost line. To provide structural integrity and protection of the sign posts from vehicular damage, we installed heavy duty steel bollards into the holes, then inserted the sign posts into the bollards, and filled up the complete ground hole and bollards core with mixed concrete. We than placed heavy duty blue vinyl bollard sleeves so that vehicles hopefully see the sign post and don’t back into them! Besides being very functional and durable, these new signs are fully in compliance with all codes and requirements. Our customer was very happy that we were able to respond very quickly and get these signs made and installed within the short time frame available.
