EXTERIOR HOME SOFT WASH

Normally, a cleaning solution for home washing includes Sodium Hypochlorite (bleach) and a foaming agent. Sodium Hypochlorite is a safe and effective product when used correctly. It is already used in the conditioning of drinking water, to disinfect pools and many other necessary sanitary applications. By the time the cleaning solution is mixed with H20 and applied to the surfaces of the home, the bleach content is only a small amount more than a pool normally operates with.
When this foamy mixture is then applied to the exterior of the home, the bleach dissolves the mold, mildew and algae. Other debris like dust, dirt, and spider webs are trapped in this foamy mixture which allows those things to be rinsed away with a low pressure water stream.
When soft washing your house, the water stream should always be weak enough to be able to place your hand directly in front of the nozzle without causing any pain. We feel this is the biggest advantage over the high pressure method due to the likelihood of damaging exterior surfaces of the house with a high pressure system.
Another advantage to low pressure softwashing is that the entire house can be cleaned from down on the ground without having to walk on the roof. Because of the chemicals of the cleaning solution, the end result of the cleaning is often better than when using high pressure water. There are several cases where organic growth on certain types of materials WILL NOT be removed without the additional use of a sodium hypochlorite cleaning solution, no matter how much pressure is used.
