The last step in the Kitchen Remodeling DIY Guide is Testing.  Testing can be the most important part of the process becuase this is where everything comes together and you find out if everything was installed properly.  It's also very important becuase if you don't properly test your equipment, and then find out a year later there was a problem, you might run out on your manufacturer's warrantly and have to replace the equipment that never worked properly in the first place! 1. Make sure to test everything.  You want to test every piece of equipment that you've installed from your dishwasher to the pull-out toasted oven in the wall. 2. Run extended tests on all gear. You don't want to just make sure the dishwasher turns on and receives power.  You should run a full cycle without any dishes and make sure everything seems to be working properly.  Even though you might feel that you are experienced enough to be able to recognize a problem, and you surely aren't expected to, you might see something obvious.  Often, when something leaves the manufacturer and works properly the first few times, it's good to go.  Often, if there is a major defect, it will expose itself early. 3. Call the manufacturer. If you are seeing any problems or issues, or simply aren't sure and would like to talk with someone, call up the manufacturer.  Ask them if everything is as it should be. If you have any questions, give us a call and we'll be happy to help you right away.
