As a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) I enjoy both the business aspect of networking and the fun activities NAWBO offers along the way. Yesterdays' event was a great example of this.
Tustin Ranch Golf Club was the site of our gathering for a golf clinic by Karen Tucker, PGA, and sponsored by John Doty and James White of Ameriprise Financial Services in Irvine. This was a casual, no pressure session where Karen focused on what to do to have a successful, powerful down swing. We sat sipping wine while Karen demonstrated the technique (you've got to loosen up a bit to have a good golf swing don't you know). In addition to the drink ticket, we were all given a raffle ticket for prizes James and John donated which included two $50 gift cards for the practice range and one free lesson with Karen. Luck was with me as my number was pulled. $50 worth or range balls! Thank you James, John and Ameriprise Financial! We were all very appreciative of their support of our NAWBO Golf Clinic.
Karen is hosting several upcoming ladies only clinics and you don't have to be a NAWBO member to join. October the 20th Karen's clinic will be on Flop Shots and November 17th will be on Rough & Tough Shots. Please call 657-346-2281 to sign up.
During the practice part of the clinic I had an opportunity to sit down with John and James and learn more about what they do at Ameriprise. The comprehensive services they offer are impressive.
