Sometimes we do work for a company that really gets our attention in a way that makes us want to tell other people about them. That is definitely the case for ANDESIGN. They came to us to do a run of posters they designed for their offices. I liked the design work and use of color so much that I called and asked to come by to see what the posters looked like hung on the wall. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to snap shots of the posters before they were picked up, and the photos I took reflected light off the glass frames. This is a pity because my camera didn’t do justice to the final product.
Once at the offices I was treated by Lisa like a VIP. What a nice, nice person. She gave me a full tour and explained the history of the company and some of the work they do which is also very impressive. Their client list includes such notable as Microsoft, Innovate Motorsports, Black & Decker, mophie, and Sili Squeeze. Lisa explained that ANDesign works with companies during their product development phase and goes full circle from concept design, to 3D modeling, to prototyping, and finally actual manufacturing. I was particularly pleased to learn that Andrew (the A in ANDesign) has a background in sustainable design….since we use eco-friendly latex inks at our sign company this was “extra points” in my book.
Upstairs the office of ANDesign is like a mini NSA operation with images flashing across large computer screens and hands deftly flying across key boards like pianists. Perhaps that’s hyperbole. It was 6 guys wearing jeans and ear phones deeply entrenched in their newest design project work who all type really fast. Though they may have thought it a bit odd that some random woman was lurking among them taking photos of framed posters on the wall, the guys were quite courteous. I was impressed enough with the creative and quality of work Andrew and his team are doing I asked Lisa if I could have a couple of the media kits they were mailing out so I could pass them along. The design on the kits is very tasteful, clean, modern, and quite clever – these are very talented people.
So, if you need a sign call us. But if you need product design, call ANDesign at 657-346-2281. Chances are John will pick up the phone and you’ll want to talk to him.
