The signage "Keep Clear Do Not Block" is printed then laminated on special material as it will be adhered to the floor of the machine shop. This photo shows the actual sign in place. What better place to locate this floor graphic than directly in front of the area that is meant to have it kept clear. The design of the sign is key to the warning being noticed so that the rule will be enforced. The colors, black and white, were chosen knowing that it would be adhered to a bright yellow floor. You can see in this photo to the right that the graphic was strategically placed directly in front of a machine. Safety is the reason for this signage. An accident could easily occur if random materials were placed in the incorrect place.
Floor graphics are used for a variety of reasons. They can be directional leading customers to the correct location at an event. They can and will often be seen immediately and become very helpful for the attendees. You will often see floor graphics used as an advertising device. When these graphics are located strategically throughout stores they are seen by many. Advertisers will see this as an opportunity to inform potential customers about their product.
