[gallery ids="572,573"] The Fairport Harbor Police Department updated their vehicle graphics.  The design is key to a successful project.  Officer, Brian O'Toole, worked closely with the vehicle graphic designers at Signs PDQ.  Both parties agreed that a simple yet unique design was in order.  This design that is shown above was chosen as it was eye catching and fit into the department's budget.  All existing cars were updated.  This involved removal of the old vinyl on the previous cars and installing the new graphics. [gallery ids="576,574"] This brand new K9 vehicle is completely outfitted for the well trained dog.  Outfitting includes tinted windows accompanied by bars for protection and vehicle graphics!  It is important that although this K9 vehicle is a different model than the original police cars, the same new logo that is currently on the original fleet is installed on this vehicle also.  The "Police" logo colors and font are the same as the original vehicles.  This allows the community to immediately recognize that both models are part of the same police department. The fact that this Police vehicle is for a K9 makes the graphics extremely important.  The car must be clearly marked warning  people that the Police Dog may be in the car.  Although the vehicle is outfitted with secure bars that keep the dog inside, it is important that nobody gets close to the car.  Consider yourself warned!
