Charlotte, NC – Types of Wall Murals Installed by a Local Sign Design Company

Wall Murals

Compelling wall murals are a great way to make a powerful impression on your clients and prospects while telling them a little about who you are! Here’s everything you need to know about the types of wall murals installed by a local sign design company.

As the name suggests, a wall mural is an image that covers an entire wall in your retail outlet or workplace. While murals can also be painted on walls, printed wall murals have several advantages over painted ones.

With a painted mural, your options will be limited to what an artist can make using paints and a brush. However, with a printed mural, virtually anything is possible. For instance, you can include digital illustrations, your own images, stock photography to communicate your brand and make a powerful impression. Here are some of the types of wall murals installed by a local sign design company.

Basic Wall Cutouts

The most basic form of wall graphics are wall cutouts. These are extremely simple and are frequently used by businesses to add borders to their glass doors or walls. These wall murals are cut out in different shapes.

Wallpapers

Wallpapers are made on vinyl using digital printing. With wallpapers, you have endless choices in terms of design, and can even customize it according to specific requirements such as design, colors, shades, etc.

The primary difference between wall murals and wallpapers is that wallpapers can be applied on several walls within the same room, whereas wall murals are only applied on the featured wall.

Traditional Decals

The traditional decals are wall murals that are made using PVC plastic. These graphics are cut out in a solid color using either a vinyl cutter or laser. Usually, these murals are printed on vinyl and then contour cut.

Custom Vinyl Letters

Custom vinyl letters are used when there’s a need to showcase text or numbers on the wall. Generally, custom vinyl letters are used to showcase things such as growth numbers, motivational quotes, etc. Since they are made using self-adhesive materials, they can be installed on any wall.

Fabric Wall Murals

Fabric wall murals are non-PVC decals made with a finely woven fabric. They have a 3M adhesive to stick the mural onto the wall. This type of fabric finish allows for very intricate designs. Moreover, fabric wall murals do not peel or tear and are 100 percent reusable.

Block Cut Vinyl

Block cut vinyl is available in multiple finishes and colors including mirror, metallic, and glittery effects. They are often used to cut out particular shapes and letters for a larger mural.

Wall Decals

Wall decals are a part of wall graphics. They are small vinyl stickers applied to the walls to showcase a small artwork or message. Wall decals are even used for wayfinding purposes and can have the business’s logo and name printed on them.
