Recognition continuously is one of the most powerful tools for motivation inside a leader’s toolkit. Oftentimes more desired than other compensation, rewards or benefits, recognition is an important factor in inspiring and encouraging staff to attain their full potential. Besides verbal recognition, leaders may recognize workers using visual graphics and signs. Below are some ways to let your team know their work is highly valued.
Brag Board
Start a company-wide brag board that allows management and employees to recognize exceptional work. A brag board may be more than simply a whiteboard inside a break room with some scribbled compliments.

Plaques and Awards
Plaques and awards include the universal success signs in competitions. Utilize them to acknowledge team and personal milestones, whether it’s a work anniversary, exceeding a sales goal or offering excellent service to a customer or co-worker.
Handwritten Note
Each day, we are overwhelmed with text messages and emails which are preferred for their limited content and “read anywhere” delivery. Taking some time to create a handwritten note to a worker is valued by staff who might feel that praise is overlooked or forced inside a fast-paced office environment.
Rename a Room
Conference Room 4 may be an easy and efficient method of identifying an office space, yet naming a room after a staff member is more fun, isn’t it? This does not need to be a permanent change, yet a sign, plaque, or wall graphic that recognizes Conference Room 4 as the Nielsen Room, for instance, could motivate and engage workers who want their very own name on the wall.
Parking for Employee of the Month
Reward your exceptional staff using a reserved parking space entitled “Employee of the Month”. Encourage your staff to go above and beyond every month to receive the coveted parking spot in the front. As earned, offer a special sign that markets the area that the winner may take later and proudly display within her or his office.
