Dimensional lettering is found everywhere, from the fronts of buildings to monument signs to lobby signs and beyond. They are the standard of the signage world, and for good reason: they're extremely versatile. Dimensional letters can come in any font or shape imaginable and a variety of colors and materials. Why is that important, you ask? The shape, along with the color, material and font, can help shape a consumer's perceptions of your brand. For example, if you are going for a clean, professional feel, you might choose a set in a clean-cut font with a metallic finish or material. For a warmer feel, rounded letters and bright colors made out of plastic work really well. If you're not too picky, however, it's best to choose a common font, as they are less expensive and faster, as the manufacturer has those already in stock.
