The latest Amazon project we took on for the delivery facility involved giant pylon sign panels. The pylon sign before the change advertised the facility on behalf of the landlord, Goodman. However, our client wanted to put Amazon’s brand message on the structure, and we assisted with translucent pylon sign panel refacing in Anaheim, CA.

Custom-Designed Pylon Sign Graphics Rebrand for Amazon

The pylon sign is highly visible and an excellent advertising tool. The landlord had used it to get Amazon’s attention to rent the logistics space. Now, it was time to rebrand the sign. The project started with the redesign. The client requested that we include the corporate logo, add the property use, and include the address.

Our graphic artist combined the design with a black, blue, and white color palette. It would give the signage maximum visibility, which is critical for delivery trucks and associates visiting the location. With the design available, we printed the new translucent graphics using a high-end 3M cast translucent vinyl that comes with extra long durability. By the way, we printed the pylon sign panels using a color/white/color process that offers stunning graphics.

What is the Color/White/Color Process?

We have mentioned our shop’s investment in an HP700w print station before. This state-of-the-art equipment is one of the few printers currently on the market that use white ink. Including this functionality is a revolutionary change in how sign shops can print products. The printer lays down a layer of colored ink, immediately follows it with a layer of white ink, and then finishes the process with another layer of colored ink.

This three-layer print keeps colors from washing out when the lights come on.
