Recently, we made a custom lobby sign for a client of ours in Davenport, IA. In the pictures above and below, you can see the sign from a few different angles. We made this sign by first creating the digital print that would serve as the back drop of the sign (the image of the bridge) and mounted it on acrylic. Then we added the GE symbol to the front, and mounted the whole sign to the wall using standoffs to give it that extra pop.
Lobby signs are very important for most business, especially those with a waiting area. Sometimes your first impression is the only one you have a chance to make, so having a great looking lobby sign can be crucial. Something clean and elegant is always a good way to go, but there are all types of different lobby signs, ranging from very affordable to moderately expensive, that will make your lobby or waiting area look great, as well as make that all-important good first impression.
Paragon Commercial Interiors is a client of ours that we have done work with in the past. But, for this project, they actually called us because they needed a specialist to help them create a custom lobby sign for one of their clients, General Electric, in Burlington, IA. General Electric wanted a sign that was unique, and that featured a local bridge in Burlington, which you can see in the images above and below. They wanted to use this great picture of their local monument, and feature it as a centerpiece in their lobby.
Since General Electric is located in Burlington, we ended up logging quite a few miles for this project. We had to make several trips to their location so we could coordinate with the customer, install the sign, and make adjustments when needed. In all, the sign turned out great, and it was a pleasure working with everyone involved in the project.
