Customer: Northwest Mechanical Location: Davenport, Iowa Project: Partial Vehicle Wraps Whether it's a partial wrap, or a full wrap, a few things always apply to the installation process.  One of them is a smooth and clean surface. Smooth & Clean - Before applying vinyl, the vehicle always needs to be washed.  If there is dirt on the surface the vinyl graphics won't adhere properly and the result will be unprofessional at best. But, this is assuming that the vehicle in question is new, or at least has a surface that has been refinished, to make it smooth again.  If you have an old vehicle that you would like to wrap and make it look new again, it's a great cost-saving idea.  But if the surface isn't smooth, it will need some body work and a coat of primer before the wrap can go on. In this case, we arranged for Northwest Mechanical's trucks to be washed before they arrived.  But, sometimes things just don't go smoothly.  Due to a job related issue, Northwest Mechanical was unable to get their van washed.  So to make sure we kept the project rolling smoothly, we took the van out ourselves and get it all cleaned up. Curve Ball - One aspect to this project that made it slightly more difficult was there were a few different vehicles that Northwest Mechanical needed graphics put on.  This meant that we had to customize each of the designs in order to get the same consistent look on all of the vehicles.  In addition to needing to modify the graphics for each vehicle, the company trucks already had graphics painted right on them.  So without any art files to work from, we had to recreate their design from what was painted on the vehicles. All in a day's work. Northwest Mechanical has used our business multiple times and we really appreciate their continued business.
