Know your product! Vendors and distributors have a vast amount of knowledge on the products they sell every day. Products that are rarely used or are new or specialty sometimes it is best to contact the manufacturer directly to get the correct product information. This week we had a job come through for chrome stickers with black text printed on them. We went around for about a week with what vinyl to print. It kept on changing between two products. We ordered a recommended product from a manufacturer that we regularly use for other applications. However, this time, the product wasn't/isn't compatible with our type of printer. Calls were made to various manufacturers and they all recommended the same company. When I called them they assured me that their product was compatible with our printer! We've yet to test out the product, but if everyone in the industry is recommending... then it's probably a pretty safe bet. Right? To Be Continued...
