How Seattle SignCo Made Securite Gun Club a Landmark

A Well-lit Sign Gives a Building Eye-Catching Appeal

The owners of Securite Gun Club, which opened to the public November 1, 2019, started with a vision over ten years ago.  They wanted to provide a private club with state-of-the-art equipment to provide a safe and healthy environment.

Rather than acquiring space, they designed and built from the ground up, featuring noise dampening surfaces, an air purification system, water reclamation for parking lot runoff– the list goes on. Foremost is teaching and enforcing safety procedures in the shooting bays.

They also knew they needing signs that both reflected their image and be easily seen from an adjacent freeway.  That’s when they invited Seattle SignCo to the building site while it was still under construction.

Since they already had an industrial designer who specked in the look and dimensions of the sign, we took a consultative approach showing them all the possibilities for their lighted building sign.  We went over materials, colors including vinyls and paints, lighting, wiring and even provided a plant tour to demonstrate how their sign elements were to be constructed.

With 48” high letters and a 10’ high logo shield, we stuffed each piece with white bright LED’s to shine behind each letter and logo, and through the faces.  This gives each element a soft glow, also know as halo lit.

Each letter and logo is constructed of welded no-rust aluminum and contains LED’s rated for over 200 thousand hours of use.  You can see the result in the attached pic.

The project took hours and hours of planning, from getting the elevations right for optimum viewing and to tying to their electrical system with each element having its own separate power supply; to environmental considerations with our heavy boom trucks as they border an environmentally sensitive area.

All in all, the owners told as that of all the contractors they worked with, we were the most responsive and easy.  That’s the goal, call us and see what we can do for you in the Seattle area.
