As the Owner & President, Mrs. Baker embodies Hope Fertility Support & Wellness Center, Inc’s comprehensive mind, body and spirit approach to wellness. Mrs. Baker is a fertility coach, social worker, and holistic fertility health educator and speaker interested in helping individuals explore their potential, debunk myths about fertility and alternative healthcare options, renew hope, provide support while helping individuals to manifest their dreams into reality.

Mrs. Baker has over 17 years of social work experience working with individuals who have experienced some type of trauma and has spent the past 10 years in the field of fertility. Mrs. Baker has worked in various settings (child welfare, corrections, elementary public schools, law enforcement, and private sector mental health agencies). Mrs. Baker serves on the board of Forever Families Adoption Services, a local non-profit adoption agency.

Mrs. Baker was born and raised until the age of 12 in the United States Virgin Islands. Growing up in the Caribbean she experienced and lived a culture of holistic living. From herbal teas “bush tea” to homemade remedies it was not uncommon for islanders to treat and cure themselves from many health conditions that would ordinarily be treated with pharmaceutical drugs. Eating organically was a daily lifestyle. Home cooked meals were a daily staple. Fresh fruits and vegetables grew in most family yards. If you wanted a snack you picked a local fruit (mango, banana, tamarind, guavas…) off the tree and ate it. People walked to town even when they owned cars. Her paternal grandmother lived to be 91 and her maternal grandmother lived to be in her 80’s.
In moving to the mainland, the culture was different. Fast food, sodas and a sedentary lifestyle was the norm. Mrs. Baker also fell victim to the newfound mainland lifestyle which resulted in fertility challenges in the form of uterine fibroids and poor egg quality. Doctors were interested in surgery and prescribing drugs to mask the symptoms, rather than treat the underlying cause of the health issues. Mrs. Baker returned to following the holistic lifestyle she grew up with in order to treat the uterine fibroids and improve her egg quality.
Due to this, Mrs. Baker wanted to continue to live a healthy lifestyle, educate people on the root cause of their health challenges and how they can restore their health naturally. In going through the process of fertility doctors and fertility treatments, Mrs. Baker realized there were very little supports for fertility patients. From this experience, the idea of Hope Fertility Support & Wellness Center, Inc. was born and is used to educate, empower and support individuals to succeed on their wellness journey.
