S.T.O.P. Water / Flood Damage Repair & Restoration Procedure

Have you recently experienced a major or minor disaster in your home or business due to flooding?

Water can be very powerful when it comes to damaging a home or business. The flooring and the walls can become saturated and fall apart or change shape, destroying them completely.

Our goal is to get your home or business back to its pre-loss condition as quickly and as painlessly as possible.

Step 1 – Extraction

After assessing the situation, the first step is always to remove the water. Standing water can carry pathogens and be very dangerous, so it is important to have a professional assist in this step.

We use commercial grade high-powered equipment to extract and expel all standing water in your home or business. Once all of the standing water has been removed, we can move on to the demolition and drying out phase.

Step 2 – Demo & Dryout

The next step is to remove any flooring materials / drywall that are too severely damaged to keep. With hardwood floors the floorboards can become warped or totally destroyed and need to be removed.  And with carpeting, the carpet and the carpet pad can be ruined by standing water and mold. We will always attempt to act quickly and efficiently in an attempt to salvage any materials possible.  It is super important to act quickly and get a professional’s help when it comes to hardwood floors.  Even if buckling has begun, we might be able to save them; averting a messy, costly and inconvenient construction project.

After the demolition phase, we bring in commercial grade high-powered air movers and dehumidifiers to get your home or business dried out fast.

Step – 3 Restoration

The last step is to replace drywall, reinstall flooring if necessary, and paint.

If you have any questions about home restoration, just give us a call. We would be more than happy to help you or just answer any questions you may have. We are located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and serve the greater area including Greensboro.
