Outdoor Building Signs for Assa Abloy in Carol Stream, IL

The Sign Authority, Inc. recently fabricated and installed some new outdoor building signs for Assa Abloy in Carol Stream, IL. Assa Abloy contacted us because they expanded their space in the large building they were occupying and needed another sign exactly like the one that they had, just further down on the building. Assa Abloy was unhappy with the previous sign company work, so they contacted The Sign Authority to see if we could replicate the sign on the building that was further north. The Sign Authority team did a site survey and determined what material was used and also measured the space. With photos and measurements we were able to replicate the sign quite easily. The sign you see above, was constructed from 3/4″ flat cut acrylic and stud mounted to the building. The Sign Authority submitted the paperwork to the City of Carol Stream for permits. After approval, we were ready to install.

We also installed the graphics on their monument sign near the street. They were allowed more space on the sign, since they were not sharing with a tenant any longer. The photo on the right shows the sign after installation. We took off the old sign, that was vinyl, adhered to the backer panel and replaced it with a new digitally printed face.

You might ask yourself, why were they unhappy with the previous sign company’s work? Take a close look at the “before” sign on the left. Do you see how the other sign company did not print the logo correctly? Do you see the spaces between the letters?

The client was very upset with the sign company not reproducing their logo as it should be on the sign. Logos are very important to most companies because they brand their business.
