Custom Large Building Signs in Carol Stream, IL For The Barn Owl

The Sign Authority in Wheaton, Il recently completed a large sign project for Barn Owl in Carol Stream. They had a large number of signs on their buildings that were made from outdated material and they were falling apart. Years ago MDO was the standard material used in the sign industry for outdoor building signs. The technology for more lightweight, long-lasting substrates has come a long way in recent years. Because these signs are so large and installed so high up on the building, we suggested using an aluminum composite called Max Metal. This lightweight aluminum material will last for years with no sign of wearing out. The MDO signs that were up on the building before we replaced them, were separating and warping. Take a look at this image on the right. You can see the material has deteriorated over time. Using advanced technology, we digitally print and apply the graphics to the aluminum composite material for amazing, long lasting results. As you can see in the photo above the top sign is rather large. We seamed together (2) 116″ x 75″ panels to create the large 12′ x 20′ custom routed shape sign. These signs are very visible to drivers on Gary Ave and St Charles Rd, in Carol Stream, IL

The Barn Owl wanted a complete overhaul of signage on the property. We not only installed these large alum signs on the barn, but we installed some dimensional letters and more custom alum signs on the front entrance and around the property. This photo shows the combination of materials used to create this lovely entrance signage. The “BARN OWL” portion of this sign was created with flat cut acrylic and stud mounted to the building. The logo over the door was made with the same aluminum composite max metal material we spoke about earlier. The custom routed shape gives the sign a nice finished look.
