Backlit LED Business Sign in Bolingbrook, IL for Say Beignet Coffee & Wine Bar

Say Beignet Coffee & Wine Bar in Bolingbrook, IL opened at the end of 2014, and The Sign Authority provided them with multiple signs for their new location. In addition to custom awnings, an LED lit routed aluminum sign, and a blade sign, we also designed designed and installed large reverse logo channel letters. Intended to be easily viewed both during the day and at night (daytime view shown below), and needing a style to match their trendy and modern cafe atmosphere, we decided to use amber color LED lights to light the sign from the back.

Referred to as a “halo lit” or “reverse lit” style, the lighting source is located within a sign and reflects off the mounting surface. This is possible because the back of the sign is made of a Laxan material which allows light to pass through it, resulting in a sign that appears to be surrounded by a halo of light.
